Named after a bavarian war hero, the modern Derag Hotel Max Emmanuel is situated one and a half kilometres from the attractions of Munich's city centre, and 40 kilometres from the airport.
From the S-Bahn (urban railway) station "Rosenheimer Platz“, the main railway station, the exhibition centre and the airport are all within easy reach. Marienplatz, in the heart of Munich, is just 2 stops away on the S-Bahn.
International stars perform at the Gasteig culture centre, which is 500 metres away, while the main convention centre is 10 kilometres away. Munich Franz Josef Strauss airport is 40 kilometres from the hotel, with an approximate driving time of 30 minutes.
The hotel is located in the district of Haidhausen, a typical Munich residential area with small shops, restaurants and cafés. The famous shopping mile "Maximilianstraße", the Gasteig cultural centre as well as the German museum can all be reached on foot in just a few minutes.
